1. Well he always has a good attitude and is very patient, even when the class is talking and stuff.
2. Hmm I'm not sure, maybe be more engaging? Oh and sometimes I feel like we spend too much time on one activity and never have time to meet with our social change groups or whatever. I'm a fast paced learner, so maybe that's just me, but I'd like to have an appropriate amount of time on each activity. Otherwise I think high schoolers tend to get bored easily.
3.
a) I would say a 4 because he's a good speaker but sometimes has trouble getting the attention of the class.
b) I would say they're like a 3, because sometimes I feel like the lessons are a result of trying to hard to relate things to Frederick Douglass or they just don't seem up to high school level.
c) Probably like a 5, he seems really chill and students appreciate that. Sometimes I think he needs to demand more respect but in a nice way? If that makes sense...
d) Too be honest I'm not really sure who is grading what? But all the papers I've gotten back were really well graded, so I'd say like 4 or 5.
e) Well we have a power point everyday, videos and he always refers to the class website. Most teachers do all that. I like visuals though, so I'd rank them as a 4.
f) His attitude is really good. I don't think he's ever really been in a bad mood. I still think our class time could use more excitement, but that's party the students responsibility so... 4.
4. I really enjoyed analyzing that painting on slavery. I love analyzing things and relating them to certain texts and what not, so things like that are fun. But only if everyone in the class is willing to stand up and participate. I feel like only 5 kids in the class actually ever talk.
5. Sometimes the vocab reviews are just drawn out and boring, no offense, and I'd just rather spend my time on more meaningful lessons.
6. I think you do a pretty good job as it is, and I do well in that class so yeah.
7. Ummm, I dunno I feel like our classroom time has become really forced, I'm not sure how to fix that? I guess just try to make class time more fun and relaxed...

1. He is very patient and handles the class well when we are rowdy.
2. I agree with Allison, not spend so much time on one thing. I think we overdo it on somethings and that leaves us no time to work on the other things we are supposed to do that day.
3. a.4. He doesn't always get the attention of the class but is very well at communicating when he does.
b. 3. I think they could relate more to high schoolers.
c. 3. He is very patient but doesn't get the attention of the class very well.
d. 5. All the papers I have gotten back are graded well.
e. 5. He uses power points well and they help explain our assignments.
f. 5. He seems very excited about teaching.

4. I liked when we watched the three commercials and he showed us how they used persuasive rhetoric. It really helped me understand the three different types because I got to see entertaining examples of the three types.
5. I did not enjoy going over the poem "I Hear America Singing" I didn't understand what we were trying to do with it or where he was going with it other than showing us the poem.
6. I think the classroom is going pretty well and I'm doing pretty well so just keep it up.
7. Just work on time management because we don't always get to the things that the plan says we will.

b. I would give a 4 because they are thought out.
c. I would say 4 because he is patient.
d. I would say 5 because the grading is fair.
e. I would give that a 5 because he uses a powerpoint and other technology for useful reasons and activities.
f. A 5 because he seems excited to be teaching.
4. The commercials activities was the most meaningful because the commercials were entertaining to watch and they helped me understand what the lesson meant.
5. The "I hear America Singing" activity seemed pointless to me and I never got the purpose of doing this activity.
6. I think everything is going well in the classroom.

1. He is very nice and patient with all of us.
2. Maybe he shouldn't spend so much time on a certain activity or whatever. It gets boring and if it's too long we stop paying attention and our discussions aren't so great.
3.
a) 4 because he is good at speaking to us but is not so much used to calming everyone down and getting our attention.
b) 3 they are pretty interesting but they are all kind of the same.
c) 3 like I said in a, he doesn't really know how to act of speak with a class. He's not used to it yet so this is going to be a little weak.
d) 5 I have had no complaints with grading on the papers that I've gotten back
e) 4 Everyday we walk into a PowerPoint on the screen and he refers to the class website, but still he doesn't use technology to its full potential in class.
f) 5 He has a wonderful attitude and is very happy all the time so awesome!
4. I really enjoyed the day in class that we analyzed the painting because it felt like a class the had the most meaning to it.
5. To be honest, I can't really remember any assignments. They were all kind of boring and the same so I guess maybe most of the assignments? But I'm not sure.
6. I don't think you really need to do anything more because you already do as much as you can and I am doing well in class.
7. Um maybe be more relaxed, but I'm not saying you aren't just don't be so up tight about the class. Be flexible and creative with class. I've sensed some tension in the class so just try and connect with students and stuff. But you are a cool guy and thanks for helping us out with everything!

1. One thing that Mr. Ruggles does well is explaining things thoroughly. He is very good at helping explain a question that me or another student might not understand. He is also very patient and can handle our class very well.
2. I agree with what some people said, we shouldn’t spend too much time on one activity because us high schoolers get bored very easily.
3.
a. Probably a 4 because he can communicate pretty well with us once he has our attention, and if he doesn’t, then it’s harder for him to communicate with us.
b. I would say a 3 because I find the lessons fairly simple and easy and I think they could be a little more interesting so students pay more attention in class.
c. I would have to say a 3 because he sometimes has a hard time calming down our class.
d. I agree with Allison. I’m not sure who is grading what but the grading on my assignments have looked pretty good so I give it a 4 or 5.
e. I would give it a 4 because he uses the PowerPoint everyday and I like visual activities, it helps me learn better.
f. I give him a 5 for this one because he always comes to class positive and ready to teach us everyday.
4. I liked typing that essay of place assignment. I had a really hard time at first trying to be really descriptive using my five senses, but doing those fun activities like closing our eyes and picturing things in our minds was pretty fun.
5. I didn’t enjoy reading “I Hear America Singing”. Like other people had said, it didn’t really seem like it had a meaning to it. If we are going to do something in class like that I think we should relate it to something we are working on.
6. So far everything is going well in the class.
7. I agree with Keri, we should plan things better and get the things done that it says to do on the PowerPoints.

He stays on task, but needs to be more interesting. I'd give him a 2.5, he's on he way to becoming a good teacher but still has much to learn. When he speeks it sounds all to written and plane. His lessons are alright, but we haven't done anything with meaning or a deeper purpose, it seems more like work with no purpose. He still has trouble controling the class, and that may be because he still has to earn our respect,or something around thoughs lines. So far the home work hasn't had much meaning and has been more like busy work. His aditude has been good, but could be better, more livelly. There, personaly, has been any fun projects or anything that has a deep meaning to it. Pretty much we need to have more class discusions were we expressed deeper thoughts.

1. He communicates well with the class once he gets their attention.
2. Getting and keeping our attention as well as being more open to other people's ideas and thoughts.
3.a. 4- good communication but needs to get the attention of the class
b. 3- They all fall under the same genre... reading and discussing with a partner. I like it when we do activities in groups or do a whole class discussion in a circle.
c. 3- Get better attention of the class and keep our attention.
d. 4- I think he grades pretty fairly.
e. 5- I don't really know
f. 3- Sometimes he does not seem very happy or interested which makes me uninterested.
4. I think I most enjoyed analyzing the painting and hearing the discussion on whether it was hopeful or not. It was really interesting to see everyone's different points of views.
5. I do not enjoy the packet reading activities where we highlight things and then just discuss one or two questions with a neighbor.
6. Be more intriging and open to other people's ideas. Maybe give more feedback.
7. Try and improve time management and maybe mix things up in the classroom...

1) He is always very patient, has a great attitude, and is up-beat all the time.
2) Maybe try to get to know each of us better. Do an activity that will explain ourselves a little better to you. I feel more at ease with teachers I can open up to.
3)
a.(4)because he seems to be pretty calm when speaking I just think sometimes he looses our attention.
b.(3-4)because I think they definitely have potential and depth I just think they are sorta all over the place. I things to o from one thing to the next.
c.(3)because I feel like his plans are good they just dont always follow through.
d.(4)because I think they have a good meaning.
e.(4)because he seems to be caught up on this generation.
f.(5)because he isnt one of those teachers who comes in really cranky.
4) I really enjoy analyzing the paintings because I like hearing what other people have to say along with what I can come up with.
5) Not gonna lie I dont like doing the vocab cause I feel like I am in the fith grade. But I also know its only to help us with the SAT/ACT.
6) Just be more unexpected. Maybe dont fllow the power points so colsely, I know we have a lot of things to learn but goin of topic can sometimes be very educational too.
7) I think he is doing a good job being a student teacher. I imagine it would be pretty scary coming to a new state and doing something he hasnt done before.

7. Good job teaching!
